华夏中文学校大费城分校的使命是推动大费城地区的语言教育、文化理解与社区联结。学校致力于为儿童、青少年、成年人和家庭创造包容的学习机会，帮助每个人积极学习、参与社区生活，并为多元而充满活力的社区作出贡献。
学校为儿童、青少年和成年人提供学习中文、深入了解中华文化的机会。课程与活动包括使用汉语拼音和简体中文开展的普通话教学、文化教育、兴趣与才艺课程，以及面向家长和家庭的教育与社区活动。此外，学校还为老年人及其他需要额外语言支持的成年人提供免费的英语课程，帮助学员提升沟通能力，更加积极地参与社区生活，并更有信心地应对在美国的日常生活。
学校还通过机器人等项目开展青少年兴趣拓展和STEM教育，为学生提供培养解决问题能力、团队协作能力、创造力和技术技能的机会。华夏学生连续多年参加全美机器人赛事并取得优异成绩，体现了学校致力于为学生提供课堂之外探索兴趣、发展能力和追求卓越的机会。

The mission of HuaXia Chinese School at Greater Valley is to advance language education, cultural understanding, and community connection throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. We provide inclusive learning opportunities for children, youth, adults, and families to study Chinese language and culture, strengthen English communication skills, and explore STEM and enrichment programs.
Through Mandarin and cultural education, adult English classes, robotics and STEM programs, and family and community activities, HuaXia empowers learners to develop knowledge, creativity, confidence, and practical skills while fostering meaningful connections across cultures.
HuaXia welcomes individuals and families of all backgrounds and is committed to expanding access to quality education, promoting cross-cultural understanding, and inspiring active participation in a diverse and vibrant community.

The school is always looking for qualified teachers in areas including: Chinese language classes, art and drawing classes, SAT preparation classes, and oral Chinese classes (for people without Chinese speaking background).
To apply for a position:
- Fill in the online Application Form.
- Fill in the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9).
- Fill in the Tax Withholding Form (Form W-4).
- Send the completed W-4 and I-9, along with a copy of the documents indicated in Form I-9 to: Huaxia Chinese School at Great Valley, 64 E Uwchlan Ave., #108, Exton, PA 19341
To help students to develop leadership skills, HXGV (the school) encourages students and provides opportunities for them to volunteer at HXGV. These opportunities are exemplified as, but not limited to, in classroom teaching assistant, independent volunteer teachers, school journal “Firefly” editors, and event based volunteering activities.
Qualification requirement for student-teachers:
- High school students with teaching assistant experience at HXGV;
- Recommendation letters from regular school’s principals, counselors or their delegates on the capability of an applicant to work with young kids without adult supervision during the class.
- Strong evidence of academic excellence in the subject that is proposed to teach (SAT scores, teacher’s recommendations, award, etc.);
- Capable of developing and implementing curriculum independently;
- The proposed curriculum needs to be submitted to SAC for review and approval before the deadline for each school year;
- The class is subject to minimum enrollment requirement set by SAC.
